Bluff is a London Dry, juniper-forward spirit, it is "gin that tastes like gin". While it is classic in structure, it remains distinctly Bluff in character, featuring a subtle salinity from the coastal southerlies that lash our coastline every day. This unique profile has led judges to describe it as having "immaculate balance and complexity".

We use carefully selected elements from across the globe:

• Licorice & Orris Root from China
• Hibiscus Flowers from Nigeria
• Lemon Grass from Thailand

Hannah is our custom-built copper still, named after Hannah Ward Barron. She was a legendary 19th-century publican and entrepreneur in Bluff (and mother to NZ's 17th Prime Minister). She embodies the "unrelenting" nature of our town.

Because we live here. Being B Corp certified isn't about collecting badges; it’s proof that we run our business with the same grit and integrity that defines life down here on the Foveaux Strait. It’s about making sure our distillery gives back more to the People, Place and planet than it takes out.

We are located in Bluff, New Zealand, the southernmost point of the South Island. Often called "The Edge of the World," our distillery overlooks the rugged Foveaux Strait, which heavily influences the character of our spirits.

Our bottle is a tribute to the classical glass fishing buoys used by international fleets. In the old days, "Bluffys" would lop these off fisherman's nets to protect the Southern Seas. Today, our custom glass represents that same spirit of local grit and ocean preservation.
